So let me ask you – Why is it that the best salesmen are also the best listeners?
Over the thirty + years of my sales career it took me a very long time to recognise when pitching the so obvious thought of “what do you think the prospect is thinking now?”
Too many salespersons dwell on what they have to say, to get their pitch out.
They work so much on the concept of their own presentation without considering if the prospect actually is interested, understands or simply follows your pitch!
But this, if you get it right will blow apart any sales figures you have ever ever achieved.
It’s called “listening” simple eh? No it’s not! Ask your wife/husband/ boyfriend or girlfriend. In fact ask them all!
